Pharmaceutical form and content: Essential oil 10, 25 and 100 ml. Herbal remedy for spastic conditions of the upper gastrointesinal traxt, for catarrhs of the upper respiratory tract and externally for local muscle and nerve pain.

Fields of application: For internal use in case of spastic conditions of the upper gastrointestinal tract und bile ducts: für internal use and inhalation in case of catarrhs of the upper respiratory tract, for external use in case of muscle pain (myalgia) and nerve (neuralgiform) complaints. For complaints which last more than one week or occur periodically please consult a medical doctor.
Contra-indications: When must you not apply China-Oel? You must not take China-Oel in case of acclusion of the biliary tract, gall bladder inflammatins, severe lever damages.
When shall you apply China-Oel only after having consulted dit physician? In the following, ist will be described when yho shall apply China-Oel only under specific conditions and only with specific care. Please also consult your physician. This also applies to cases when you suffered from the diseases below in former times. In case of gall stones, the preparations shall only be bused after having consulted a physician.
What so you have to take into consideration during pregnancy and lactation? The wide-spread use of peppermint oil as a flavouring agent and the orientating experimantal investigations with animals have not shown any indications for risks during pregnancy and lactation.
What shall be taken into consideration für babies and small children? The preparation shall not be applied to the face, especially to the nose of babiesan small children (pre-scholl age) and shall not be used for inhalation because this migtht cause conditions similiar to asthma. Concerning the application of this preparation at children with intestinal disoders, no sufficient investigations are availabel. Children under the age of 12 shall therefore not take the product.
Precautinary measures for application and special warnings. Which precautionary shall be taken into consideration? After external applications clean your hands thoroughly. By doing so, an erroneous contact of the peppermint oil with sensitive parts of the body like mucous membranes and wounds of with the eyes can be avoided.
What do you have to take into consideration when participating in the road traffic or when working with machines or without a sofe foothold? China-Oel does not have negative effects on the reaction abililty when participating in the road traffic, when working with machines our without a safe foothold.
Interactions: Can other medical preparations have an effect on the efficacy of China-Oel or can theybe affected by China-Oel? Interactions with other medical preparations are not known.
Dosage and method of administation: The following recommendations shall be applied as long as your physician has not given you defferent recomendations. Please follow these instructions for application because otherwise China-Oel cannot bi as effective as intendes.
How much and how often shall you take China-Oel? Internal application: Average daily dose 6 to 12 drops, i.e. 2-3 times a day 3 -4 drops each time.
For inhalation: Put 3-4 drops into about 300 ml of hot water, 2-3 times a day.
External application: Rub several drops into the painful area of the skin.
When and how shall you apply China-Oel? Catarrhs of the upper respiratory tract: Put 3 drops into hot water and deeply inhale the vapours with closed eyes - aditionally take 2-3 drops in hot water sip by sip, rub a few drops on breast and neck.
Spastic conditions of the bile ducts and the upper gastrointestinal tract: Put 3-4 drops into half a glass of warm water and drink it with an empty stomach.
Local muscle pain (Myalgia): Rub (massage) a few drops into the aching parts then hold them warm with cotton wool or a muffler.
Pains similar to neuralgias: Rub a few drops into the aching parts. For pains similar to myalgias, rub some drops onto the forehead, temples and neck. Subsequent dabbing with water increases the efficacy.
Miss-use and overdosage: China-Oel should not get into contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes.
What shall you do if China-Oel is applied in too large quantities (intended overdose or overdose by mistake)? If large quantities of essential oils are taken, stomach aches, nausea and vomiting may occur. In severe cases, inebriation or obnubliation, cardiac problems or respiratory distress may occur. In the literature, cases are reported where taking 8 to 9 g Menthol, the main component of peppermint oil (corresponding to approx. 18 ml peppermint oil), only led to nausea and sansation of cold. Since literature also reported that especialy for sensitive persons already araund 2 g Menthol (corresponding to 1 teaspoon o peppermint oil) can lead to poisoning, a doctor should be informed in case of every possible poisoning, who can then take the necessary steps. Specific antidotes are not known. Under no cirumstances, milk or alcoholic drinks should be taken because this can promote the absorbtion of essential oils. Excessive inhalation can cause cough which quickly stops after breaking off inhalation.
Side effect: Which side effects can occur when using China-Oel? Sensitive persons may suffer from stomach trouble after taking China-Oel. When applying externally, soreness and skin irritation may occur which will ease after careful rinsing with water. Inrare cases, peppermint oil can couse allergic skin reactions. In these cases stop using China-Oel and consult a doctor. If you notice side effects which are not discribed in this package leaflet, please inform your doctor or pharmacist thereof.
Remarks and data concerning shelf-life of the medical preparation: The expiry date of this product ist printed of the bottle label and an the folding box. Please do not use the product after expiry date! After opening the bottle, China-Oel can be used für minimum 20 month.
Keep medical preparations out of reach of children.
Always keep the bottle in the folding box protected from light.

The
China-Oel inhaler serves for inhaling the essential vapours of China-Oel. By means of inhaling, China-Oel vapours arrive at the mucous membranes of the nose an mouth and by deep breathing into the respiratory tracts and can develop their pleasant effects there.
Care and cleaning of the China-Oel inhaler: After having used the China-Oel inhaler please clean its surface with the help of a clean cloth and put the inhaler back into the original package.
With the China-Oel inhaler on tour: The advantage of the China-Oel inhaler is that it can be used at every time and every place, for example in the office, in the theatre, in the car or on travels. Handling the inhaler is easy and without any problems. It can be refilled by 2-3 drops of China-Oel each time.
Attention: Insert the inhaler only 1cm as a maximum into the nostrils of mouth. In no case swallow up the inhaler. Keep away from children. During applying China-Oel to the fibre stick made of acetate fibre, be careful that China-Oel does not come into contact with the eyes.
